S Badge signifies superior safety for FUSO range
Why? Because the S badge means advanced safety systems are fitted as standard. Every FUSO truck with an S badge on the door has:
“We want to give truck owners and other road users confidence when they see the S badge,” said Fuso New Zealand managing director Kurtis Andrews. “It’s about ensuring everyone gets home safely after every trip, which is central to our commitment that ‘We Look After Our Own’.
“We are continually looking at ways to enhance the performance of the trucks in our range and the introduction and improvement of advanced safety technology is testament to that. A number of customers have already reported how thankful they are to have those systems in place.”
Those customers include Carr & Haslam’s Chris Carr, who said: “I’m pretty certain it’s saved at least one life”.
“The autonomous braking reacted quicker than I could have and saved a serious incident and considerable heartache for a lot of people. I can’t speak more highly of it,” said Mike Barker from Barker Contractors.
Raising the standard
Autonomous braking, lane departure warning and electronic stability control provide a very high standard of safety – but some FUSO ranges go further. Additional features include Active Attention Assist, Driver Fatigue Monitoring, Sideguard Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
